| i guess i'm feeling kinda good coming back from a great time with my girl so what the heck...lol. for anyone who's having trouble with clutch pressure, i would definitely recommend replacing both the slave/master cylinders. i replaced the slave cylinder about a year ago and all was well. now at 82K miles, the master was shot. if bleeding doesn't work with your old cylinders, then it's most likely one of the two parts that are going bad. the 'gravity' bleeding of the slave cylinder is a great idea. it's so much easier to completely drain the slave of air pockets before you tackle the master. worked out great for me. and as for bleeding the master cylinder, i found that it's not necessary to bench bleed the cylinder. but you gotta do A LOT of initial pumping to build enough pressure to push the air out from the nipple under the hood. the actual install of the clutch master cylinder was very straight forward. the trickiest part was to get the pin off the clutch pedal under the driver's side dash. definitely an easy diy. on a side note, got to drive chivas stage 3 turbo once again and scared the crap out of my sister. lol. her exact quote was..."this doesn't feel like my jetta". haha. but now that i know what turbo's kicking in feels like, i'm dying to know how that differs from riding in a muscle car full of torque off the line... like a z06. the turbo feel is nice, but i'm not sure if it's for everyone. i'll bet the instant power from tap, coupled with a smooth power curve will win some people over turbos. just my opinion.
